TRANSFORM² Successfully Holds its Intermediate Meeting in Athens
TRANSFORM² is holding its hybrid Intermediate Meeting from June 9–11, 2026. The three-day event is hosted by the National Observatory of Athens (NOA) and co-organized alongside the University of Patras and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
The meeting brings together consortium partners, the General Assembly, the Project Manager Board (PMB), and the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) to review the project’s progress, discuss technical milestones, and plan the roadmap for upcoming deliverables.
Key Highlights of the 3-Day Agenda:
Day 1 (June 9) | Project Governance & Technical Progress (WP1 & WP2): The meeting opens with an overview of the project’s financial status and intermediate reporting. Technical discussions focus on Work Package 2 (WP2), centering on innovative instrumentation and hardware development. The day concludes with an open round-table discussion.
Day 2 (June 10) | Core Research & Methodology Updates (WP3, WP4 & WP5): Partners present progress reports on algorithmic frameworks, data processing, and integrated system testing across Work Packages 3, 4, and 5. The day concludes with an open round-table discussion on cross-WP integration.
Day 3 (June 11) | Communication, Governance & Software Session:
WP6 & Dissemination: Review of communication activities, stakeholder perspectives on Earthquake Early Warning Systems, and the preparation of the project’s “White Book.”
Governance: Concurrent meetings of the Project Manager Board, General Assembly, and the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) to finalize the technical/financial intermediate report and project roadmap.
Software Installation Party: A parallel interactive session dedicated to the demonstration and setup of specialized project software (including Unsupervised detection tools, Dlpicker, GISOLA, GAIASeis, and PPH-VA realtime).
