The University of Trieste is involved in the evaluation of the preparedness and earthquake early warning capabilities for the NITRO NFO with a feasibility analysis aimed at understanding the capacity of the current network geometry and infrastructure. Furthermore, the University is engaged in the improvement and optimization of the existing EEW algorithms and seismic monitoring procedures, including ML methods to improve real-time shaking estimates.
